Mexico has a centuries old winemaking history, most of it having gone under the radar and with a large part thanks to the Missionaries from Europe. Brothers Noel & Jair Tellez are keeping that tradition going with Bichi wines. In some parts of Northern Mexico Bichi means naked, a name which they saw fit to give to their wines which focus on natural production using biodynamic and organic practices. The La Santa comes from 100yr old Rosa del Peru vines at a high elevation; the wine is almost rose colored with delicate flora tones, red and black fruits, and a juicy acidity that keeps things fresh and dangerously easy to drink.
