Two-thousand years ago, we are told, Jesus turned water into wine in Cana, not very far from the Bekaa Valley. We are not told what this divine wine consisted of, nor what it tasted like, but my guess is that, pardon my blasphemy, Jesus' plonk couldn't hold a candle to the Chateau Musar Jeune Rouge. Young and vibrant with a deeply-colored red hue. This unoaked blend is rich, soft, and appealing. Beguiling smoky black fruits- blackberry, mulberry, and hints of spice fill the nose. Pure, black and red cherry, fig, and prune come across the palate supported by a juicy, fresh acidity. The finish is sacrilegious with soft, seductive tannins that are balanced and have a hold that posses the palate. This is a great wine to share with the disciples! Alleluia!
