Torrontés is an Argentinian icon, a grape that can make beautiful, unique wine when done right, just as it is in this case. A single vineyard production from 1700 meters in elevation, or just over a mile, this wine is loaded with character, and refreshingly superior to the mass produced counterparts we often see. It has an intensely aromatic nose that is alive with tropical floral and rich, ripe tropical fruits with hints of spice. The wine itself has a bright, refreshing acidity that leads to medium bodied tropical fruits and citrus with a kiss of minerality on the long, elegant finish. It has all the classic fruit loop notes we love and none of the hairspray or bug spray/citronella notes we don’t.
