The Grand Cru Kaefferkopf Gewurtztraminer has fruit from three of the six hills of Kaefferkopf, giving the wines depth and complexity. The vineyards deliver wines of elegance and power, with excellent length and hints of smoke on the finish.
2011- Classic, this vintage is ripe with honeyed hints of rose, tropical lychee, petrol wings, baked stone fruits, and a touch of honeysuckle and spice.
2012- A bit more earthy and mineral driven, this vintage has a bit more of a stone fruit jam, candied citrus, and soft honeysuckle spice balancing the quintessential tropical tones.
2013- Showing a bit more rose on the nose, and more pronounced smoke on the finish, layers of lychee meet citrus blossom, candied citrus rind, and a spice that weaves in with the driving minerality.
