Burgundian producer Guillaume d’Angerville is making some great wines from the Jura region. He fell in love with the wines from Jura after having a glass in Paris, and made it his goal to find a place there to start his state of the art winery. Unlike a lot of whites from this region, lack of oxidation allows the full, aromatic fruit-forwardness of Savagnin to push through. It shows gorgeous flavors of white fruit and orchard fruit, citrus, and an underlying earthy spice; lusciously complex and bursting with energy.
