The inspiration for this wine is the Cerasulo wines of Sicily, with their Nero d’Avola base. The Nero d’Avola comes from a series of vineyards, the Zinfandel from one of the vineyards Martha is getting some of the Nero from. The wine is juicy and balanced, oozing plum, black cherry, and herbal black tea. It’s playful, bright, fresh, and earthy. It’s extremely food friendly, ready for any adventure or grill out with friends, and is one of those wines that does really well with a chill, making it a refreshing summer red!! Yum yum yum!!
