This wine came in with a flair...days late, the first time in the state, in the region actually, just in time for a virtual tasting with Dani Rozman, the winemaker/farmer behind Onda Brava. Dani splits his time working and making wine in California and Chile, focusing on clean, sustainable farming and winemaking...not for marketing, just to grow the best fruit, in a way that's good for the planet, and letting the wine do it's thing to really let the fruit shine through.
His Cinsault has some serious history, coming over from France a long time back, and it's a grape we don't see to often in Chile. This is one you simply have to try! Keeping a brightness and freshness, there is a lovely earthy undertone, a mineral drive, that backs up small berried black fruits and berries. It's one of those wines that is just fresh, alive, easy, and layered! We're lucky and excited to have this one!
