This is a fun wine, pulling inspiration from early 1800’s winemaking monks in Austria, it uses a mix of amphora, acacia cask, Austrian oak, cement eggs, and neutral barrels. The fruit comes from several different AVAs in Oregon, all of the vineyards are sustainable in practice, either certified organic or transitioning to. The wine is a blend, mysteriously hard to find, but we believe a blend of riesling, gewürztraminer, and muscat…beautifully dry, it captures summer in a bottle. Racy but rich with texture it brings citrus, saline, floral hints, and notes of dried apricot! Not much was made and that’s so sad!
