Named for the knight Codirosso, who was renowned for his valor and once roamed the area seeking adventure and valor, this is a delightfully old-school Chianti. The producer sought clones of rare varietals like Colorino, once almost lost to history, to make a wine with balanced, bright red fruits like strawberry and cherry, dusty earthy tannins, and a touch of spice.
