Coming from one of Tuscany's most exciting estates, this is the premier Sangiovese of the coast, and one of the best in all of Italy. The wine is an unfiltered blend of mostly Sangiovese with a small percentage of Cabernet Sauvignon. Fewer than 400 cases a year are produced. Notes of cassis, gravel, tar, and truffles, it is sweet and full on the palate, meaty but with a velvety, elegant texture.
