The name Aurora has a long history in the seaside town of Sanlucar de Barrameda, dating back to 1907. Named after Aurora Ambrosse Lacave, a pioneer female in the Sherry industry, who took over her husbands bodega after his death. Now run by Francisco Yuste, who has skillfully integrated the 19th Century solera with his own to produce a complex, rounded and saline Manzanilla between 8 and 10 years of age, bottled with minimal treatment. You’ll find the classic seaside freshness with notes of apple, herbs, lemon pith, hints of almond and a delightful light bitterness. An ideal aperitif that also goes wonderfully with seafood dishes!
