A German hybrid, Kerner is a cross between Trollinger (Schiava) and Riesling. It brings power and finesse, luring us in with a gorgeous straw yellow color flecked with hints of green. Layers of seductive lime zest, peaches, and hints of mango are all wrapped in a mountainous minerality that brings energy and life to the structured serious side of the wine. A clean, bone dry finish hints at floral tones accenting the bright, citrus driven acidity that makes the wine so refreshing and leaves us yearning for another glass.
