Chasselas Dore is an old grape variety that comes from the mountainous regions of Jura in France and the Swiss Alps. The wine is stunningly beautiful, fresh and tropical with rich citrus and rhododendron blossom all contrasted and highlighted by a savory balance. It is light on its feet, etherial, and still has a surprising amount of structure and body; especially for a wine that comes in at less than 10% alcohol. Eyrie produces a shockingly low amount of this wine, just above 50 cases; which comes from just two rows of their organic vines in their “Sisters Vineyard.”
