This Kiona ice wine comes from the Red Mountain AVA in Washington, they don’t take any shortcuts with their wine…all estate Chenin Blanc, freezing on the vine and harvested by hand in late October, they never cheat and never use a freezer. This luscious dessert wine is viscous and rich but with lifted acidity that keeps it from being heavy. A delightful mineral drive doles out waxy citrus fruits, touches of melon, golden apple, pear, and nectarine with subtle dried floral accents and a touch of sweet baking spices.
