The La Quercia Montepulciano d’Abruzzo is a special wine, we directly imported this wine… sadly we made a big mistake! Somehow we only brought in one case of this wine! Winemaker Antonio Lamona believes in making wines that are, as he says, “pleasing to the body, and the spirit.” This is one of those wines; the vineyards are nestled in the mountains overlooking the Adriatic where they benefit from ocean breezes, fog, and sunlight. All this lends to an uncommon ripeness and structure. This Riserva ages for over two years and comes from 50+ year old vines giving us deep dark fruits like black plum, currants, dried black cherry, and dried blueberry with supporting notes of baking spice, touches of pepper, and a lovely mountain minerality.
