The lady of the sunshine “chevey” is a bright California take on the classic wines of Cheverny from the Loire Valley. Coming from Oliver’s Vineyard in Edna Valley, the vines were planted in 1991 and are working on their organic certification. Deftly fermented in neutral oak to keep vibrancy in the fruit but allow it to breathe and develop some depth. Unfined and unfiltered this wine doles out juicy citrus tones, soft minerality, floral accents and notes of lemon verbena, candied kumquats and a lovely, creamy meringue.
