Bold and structured, this Spanish Garnacha demands your attention in the best way. Vintages past have been blended with Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, and more, but 2018 was a year to let Garnacha shine. Aged in both French and American oak, the nose presents dark red, blue, and black fruits alongside earthy cassis, leather, and vanilla. That dark fruit comes through intensely on the palette, paired with toasted baking spices, and a lingering, velvety finish. While the alcohol on this Ceps Nous is noticeable on the nose, the flavor does not have to compete with heat. This wine is a stunning representation of the powerful yet delicate qualities a Garnacha can hold.
