Trizanne Barnard is an independent winemaker working oceanside just a few miles north of Cape Town. Trizanne took her knowledge in viticulture from Stellenbosch University and wine making experience at Klein Constantia (ask about that wine, btw), and went solo in 2008. And now, she’s making the most interesting takes on varietals we know and love! This 2020 Onderduivenshok River Chardonnay has a beautiful balance of minerality and body, a product of growing on limestone soils and aging in a combination of new, 2 year, and 3 year used barrels. You can practically taste the South African coast in each sip! This textured take on a Chardonnay is perfect to pair with a nut crusted fish, or chicken picatta dish.
