Yacoubian-Hobbs is an Armenian project from Paul Hobbs. This wine is 100% Areni: an ancient variety indigenous to Armenia that has adapted to the high altitude (over 4,000 feet), mountainous region of Vayots Dzor where vines thrive on mineral rich, volcanic soils. This late-ripening grape makes fresh, elegant, structured wines with bright red fruit flavors, and a characteristic black pepper spice- finishing with soft tannins and youthful acidity.The label shows hieroglyphs found on an amphorae found in 6100- representing the millennial history of wine making.
