In our seventh class of the "Exploring Varietals" series, we're going big. This varietal has a HUGE reputation for being a grape that packs a punch. Some expressions prove that right, and some give it a run for its money. Either way, this grape has a long history in the world of wine, and a really interesting origin story (some unexpected parents!) This will be a particularly fun class as we start inching our way towards colder weather and the holiday season. Any ideas what it might be?
