This is a taste of old Portugal, a wine comprised mostly of the native Baga grape, known for its deep pigmentation and natural acidity. At 70% Baga that remaining 30% is Touriga Nacional, another famous native varietal. The Touriga Nacional is aged in neutral oak barrels to round out the edges and the Baga is fermented in steel tanks to preserve freshness. Highlighted with floral accents the wine is well-balanced with structured, ripe purple and black fruits on dusty earth and wrapped up by firm tannins and a lively acidity.
